Samsung's 360-degree wireless speakers

Recently Samsung launched its Gear s2 smart watch at IFA 2015. But Samsung, as always, never stops innovating. The R1, R3 and R5 are new wireless, multi-room speakers. What makes them different than most of the competition, though, is their 360-degree enclosure.

Samsung says the ring-radiator technology powering them helps fill any room with sound. These speakers are tubular in shape.While you can use the revamped Multi-room App for IOS and Android to control the set, there's also a physical user interface on the speakers' top panel, letting you play, pause, tweak the volume and switch music sources.

Samsung says they'll be available by the end of the year, with prices ranging from $199 to $399

Tell Google you're feeling curious for fun facts

Along with its new weird but cool logo, Google has added new search trick. Type in "I'm feeling curious" or simply "fun facts" and Google will hit you with a fact box with a random fact. Below the fact summary is a link to the source of the fact.

Click the blue Ask Another Question button for another fun fact and you now have at your disposal an entirely new way to waste time on the Internet.

Samsung at IFA 2015

Everybody was excited and waiting for Samsung announcements at consumer electronics exhibition IFA in Berlin. Here’s the list of what the company did announce.

1. SmartThings Hub

Samsung, with the Korean tech giant launching a new SmartThings Hub to help manage all your connected home appliances.

The $99 hub was developed by SmartThings, a company Samsung acquired last year, and can be used to connect things like security cameras, smart thermostats, and other smart home gadgets.

2. SleepSense

The next product by Samsung was Sleepsense, a smart sleep-tracker that connects to your home appliances.

The SleepSense is a contactless sensor that’s placed under your pillow to analyze your sleep patterns, with the ultimate goal of improving your sleep. To do so, it connects up with your TV, air conditioning, music system, Lights etc and everything is managed through a mobile app.

It can turn off your TV when it senses you’re asleep, or turn your coffee machine on when it reckons you’re awake in the morning.

3. Samsung Gear S2: Public SDK

Samsung announce the public release of its Tizen Software Development Kit (SDK) for its smart watch 'Gear S2', letting any developer create apps for the watch.

4.AddWash

Samsung unveiled a new washing machine.

The AddWash is touted as “the world’s first washing machine that allows consumers to add laundry at any point of the wash cycle.

The key feature is that you can add items of clothing to the main cycle mid-wash. This is also a connected washing machine that can pair with your Android and iOS devices, letting you monitor and manage a washing load remotely, while receiving update alerts.


5. HDMI 2.0

The new HDMI 2.0 will be landing on Samsung’s SUHD and UHD TVs — the first on the market to support the standard.

The company said it will issue a firmware update shortly, letting viewers display a broader High Dynamic Range from external devices.

6. First Ultra HD Blu-ray player

The Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) gave the go-ahead to license a new Ultra HD Blu-ray format last month and Samsung was one of the first companies to announce an Ultra HD Blu-ray player at IFA 2015.

So finally, its happening. On Twitter, Elon Musk, our Tony Stark shared that the Holy Grail of Teslas, the lower cost Model 3 sedan, will officially be unveiled next March (along with taking preorders).

At the time, Musk said "[The Model 3] will be way different from any other car on the road. But, “in a way that’s really useful and just doesn’t feel like a weird-mobile." Sounds exciting. 

Microsoft Windows 10 is running on more devices than X Yosemite

Microsoft Windows 10 is in the market for not longer than a month and is reported to be used by more than 5% of traditional personal computers worldwide.

According to net market share figure calculated by online statistics portal, Statista, Microsoft’s Window 10 is ahead of latest and popular Mac operating system, OS X Yosemite. But leading operating system in the market is still Microsoft Windows 7 with 57.7 % of market share according to pc-tablet blog.

One reason behind Windows 10 instant success is its free upgrade to users having Windows 7 or a later version given by Microsoft. It also has better features and did a better job in serving the needs of traditional personal computer users in comparison to the disasterous Windows 8.

Survey states that windows 10 is considered to be better than Apple’s OS X Yoesmite. Here is comparison of Windows 10 and OS X Yosemite the operating systems.

Microsoft Window 10

Windows 10 is similar to windows 8, as it still has window start screen. But it has many additional features like 3D gesture, which you can enable if your laptop has 3D support camera.

Microsoft has found way to resize application in order to fit on any screen, feature will be used for running same applications on smartphones and PC.

The most famous Start menu is back with windows 10 in which you can pin metro apps to the taskbar. Start menu includes list of recently used applications and whole application list.

Cortana a personal digital assistant which will respond to queries and perform multiple tasks including voice command from user is another addition to Microsoft Windows 10.

New Microsoft Edge web browser, which replaced Internet Explorer, virtual desktops task/view, the Xbox app, unified settings, action centre are Some other features of window 10.

Apple’s OS X Yosemite

Apple has used 3D design with blandish colourful surface in its new OS X Yosemite icon. Apple has made significant changes in Safari web browser, mail app and calendar app.

It has also enabled options for creating PDF and images from mails and automatically upload attachments to iCloud.

It has included bunch of new widgets and functions. It has also included AirDrop feature, which allows user to continue a task like writing E-mail, reading message, etc. in other iDevices like iPhone, iPad and Mac

ASUS announces the Intel-powered VivoStick

ASUS announces the Intel-powered VivoStick, a small stick PC that runs Windows 10.

When Intel launched the HDMI-based compute stick some months back and now the ASUS has launched its own model; and it’s way better than Intel’s in almost every possible sense from the presentation and promises.

First of all, stylish and way more impressive in looks compared to its competitor. Also, it adds an extra USB 3.0 port and a jack for headphone, which makes it significantly more advanced. On the other hand, it also has 2GB of RAM and 32 GB memory space. It also works the same way – simply plug it into any HDMI TV, plug a keyboard and a mouse – and you’re all set to browse the Windows 10! At least that’s the idea.

ASSUS VivoStick is a bit more affordable at $129, than Intel’s Compute Stick which you can find at $150.
